NIRBHOR Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to empowering marginalized communities and promoting social welfare through inclusive, sustainable initiatives. Founded by Md. Rajib Hasan Riad, a compassionate changemaker from Bhola, Bangladesh, along with a group of dedicated young men from Bhola, the foundation was born out of a deep desire to create lasting impact and bring hope to those in need. The word NIRBHOR — meaning “reliant” or “dependable” — reflects our core mission: to stand beside the underserved, providing the support they need to become self-reliant, confident, and empowered members of society. Slogan “We build society, we build the nation – A Bangladesh of Humanity.” Vision To create a humane and harmonious society where every individual can live with dignity, opportunity, and hope. Mission To address urgent social challenges through community-driven initiatives that promote equality, compassion, and sustainable development. Our Core Objectives Provide voluntary social services for the welfare of disadvantaged communities. Organize and promote voluntary blood donation and encourage a culture of donation. Take a firm stand against antisocial activities and unethical practices. Support individuals living below the poverty line with essentials and opportunities. Assist orphans and elderly citizens, ensuring their dignity and care. Promote environmental protection and contribute to maintaining climate balance. Honor and recognize individuals with remarkable contributions to society. Respond to natural disasters with rescue operations and relief support. Stand by talented yet underprivileged students, aiding them in their education. Support unemployment reduction by providing skills training and economic opportunities. Actively work to eliminate dowry and prevent child marriage. Fight against violence towards women and children, and advocate against child labor. Empower women by protecting their rights and dignity through social awareness. Promote primary education through community engagement and awareness campaigns. Conduct free medical camps to ensure access to basic healthcare and promote physical and mental well-being. Our Impact So Far Since its inception, NIRBHOR Foundation has implemented a number of meaningful programs across various sectors. These include: Organizing free blood group testing campaigns and continuous blood donation drives. Distributing iftar meals and essential food packages during Ramadan 2024 and 2025. Distributing sewing machines to empower women economically. Providing support for rebuilding small shops for struggling entrepreneurs. Extending medical aid to those in need. Responding swiftly during Cyclone Remal, through rescue efforts and the distribution of dry food to affected families. Hosting volunteer gatherings and reunions to build solidarity and celebrate community service. Organizing honorary events to recognize and celebrate distinguished individuals.
